A Carter Lumber Assistant Contract Manager is responsible for supporting our contract management processes. You’ll collaborate closely with the contract management team, legal department, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of contracts. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has the ability to multi task. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.  

Requirements:

  • Tracking all submitted contracts.

  • Redlining some agreements to be sent back to the stores.

  • Requesting insurance certificates.

  • Completing any pre-qualification paperwork requested by the stores.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

  • Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

Contract Management

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts, and service-level agreements.

  • Tracks contract compliance, updates and adjust contracts as required. 

  • Coordinate contract approvals and signatures.

  • Monitor contract compliance and address any deviations.

  • Support the contract lifecycle from initiation to closure.

Training and Development

  • Assists in developing and implementing training for employees regarding the process, and policies. 

  • Stay informed about changes in contract law and regulations.
