PSG/CIP is a multi-service community-based social services organization that fulfills its mission of helping individuals and families to achieve their greatest potential through dynamic, cost effective and innovative programming responsive to the needs of diverse communities. The Intensive In-Home Services Program provides services to families involved in the formal social services system for abuse, neglect, truancy, and/or delinquency issues. Our program strives to preserve the family, reduce out-of-home placements, and aid in reunification where necessary. The In-Home team is composed of Parent Mentors, Therapists, Youth Support Specialists, and Substance Abuse Counselors who collaborate to provide intensive in-home services to families to address such issues including, but not limited to mental health, alcohol/other drug abuse, parenting, and family conflict. The Parent Mentor works with parents and families on trauma-informed parenting skills, behavior modification techniques, anger and stress management, basic life skills, and family budgeting skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARENT MENTOR: Formulate, implement, evaluate and review family treatment plans. Mentor families in accordance with their treatment plans. Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations. Provide parenting education, support, and advocacy to program clientele through individual, family, and group work. Attend client court proceedings and provide updates on treatment progress, as required. Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities. LOCATION: Office is located in Kenosha with flexibility for hybrid/remote remote. Local travel is required to meet with clients within the home. Must be able to meet in-person with clients located in Kenosha, WI. SCHEDULE: Hours are varied but are typically Monday-Friday during business hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm, with some evenings to accommodate the needs of our clients.
