Job Description Summary Work with the applications development team and be responsible for providing oversight to ensure that assigned applications are maintained in a manner that meets the needs of our business partners and business expectations. Job Description * Work proactively to manage the overall health of the mainframe and ensuring business needs are met. * Provide oversight of active projects related to the mainframe simultaneously and planning the roadmap. * Analyze, design, and champion software solutions through writing code and configuring existing systems. * Locate, collect, and organize information that enhances the understanding of a problem or situation and that facilitates effective communication of it to others. * Identify, define, and document problems and situations that require attention or improvement. * Provide production/UAT (user acceptance testing) support to end users during release management activities and coordinate with offshore team on all new requirements. * Responsible for legacy application disaster recovery preparations and testing activities. * Coordinate subordinate work assignments for the legacy mainframe development environment. Basic & Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field required. * Must have seven years of experience in applications development in a mainframe environment, including COBOL and Job Control Language (JCL) in an MVS or VSE environment. * Must also have 2 years of experience with Customer Information Control Systems (CICS) and Structured Query Language (SQL). * Experience may be gained concurrently. * Remote work allowed within commuting distance of Kennewick office. * Travel to Lamb Weston locations in the Pacific Northwest required 10% of the time. In compliance with applicable state and local laws, Lamb Weston has opted to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's work location, job duties, experience and expertise.
