As a Physical Security Coordinator, you will have a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of our organization. You will be responsible for managing the creation, development, and implementation of all physical security projects and advanced security technologies. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding the organization's assets, people, and reputation. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the single point of contact for issues related to physical security and emergency management; develop, recommend, and manage the District's Enterprise Physical Security Strategy; and oversee and coordinate complex security projects and programs to mitigate security risks to District personnel, equipment, facilities, critical infrastructure including substations, systems, and information as it relates to Electric Utility Infrastructure. This position acts as the technical lead for the enterprise security systems and ensures that the functional capabilities of those systems are optimized.

Accountabilities

Support the District's mission to serve our customers and foster a positive workplace by personally choosing behavior aligned with our values and ethical code.

Manage the creation, development and implementation of all physical security projects.

Responsible for the research and development of advanced security technologies for potential inclusion into the organizational physical security program.

Ensure development and compliance of security-related plans by creating strategies, policies, procedures, and training.

Safeguard personnel and assets by establishing defined threats and the appropriate levels of protection necessary for the application of effective countermeasures.

Oversee employee and facility physical security by serving as the system analyst for enterprise security systems including surveillance cameras and video software, intrusion detection, access control, duress/panic buttons, and emergency notification systems.

Optimize system functionality by providing understanding of data and process flows within applications; performing work flow/business process analysis; guiding the maintenance of application setup tables and maintaining change management tracking of application configuration.

Ensure timely information is available to users by using system appropriate tools to create and schedule reports and analyzing reports to ensure integrity of data.

Ensure enterprise security system availability and security by performing regular system maintenance and monitoring, applying software patches, and hardware firmware upgrades.

Manage the Access Control System (ACS) by issuing employee, contractor, and visitor identification badges and ensuring maintenance of electronic key cardholders e.g., adding, deleting, changing access privileges within the ACS and other security related tasks related to new/separating emplo
