Position Summary: Utilizes knowledge of sales techniques, company products/services and general industry knowledge to provide sales and customer service support to both retail and contractor customers. Troubleshoots order processing issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Uses customer calls as opportunities to provide information about features and benefits of company products and services and engages in researching, identifying and soliciting new customers and expanding business with current customers. What You'll Do: Provides customer support to walk-in retail or contractor customers and responds to telephone and e-mail inquiries from customers. Assists customers with issues such as product selection, pricing, availability, refunds/exchanges. Determines customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and services. May recommend alternative products based on cost, availability or specifications. Generates sales quotations requiring a working knowledge of company products, procedures and practices. Actively engages in selling company products and services. Provides material take offs, estimates and pricing of large packages (e. g., decks, garages, millwork, kitchen, bath, doors, etc.). Enters orders into computer system. Schedules the production and delivery of orders with store operations. Uses customer calls as opportunities to provide information about features and benefits of company products and services and engages in researching, identifying and soliciting new customers and expanding business with current customers. Troubleshoots order processing issues to ensure customer satisfaction and optimize sales opportunities. Identifies trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction. May participate in coordinating and conducting customer workshops. Provides assistance to less experienced Inside Sales Representatives. May assist with store housekeeping, signage, stocking, inventory control and other related activities. Plans and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project or team-related productivity goals. Remains current on customer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending in-house training sessions, vendor training or reading trade journals. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or coworkers. Attends periodic safety meetings as required. May recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Carries out other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED and 1 (one) year of sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
