Wolters Kluwer Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in Kennesaw, Georgia

The purpose of this role is to work as a subject matter expert in the field of Business Intelligence (BI) supporting the Analytics team within a Global Sales Operations team. This team will have a global span of control across the full analytics strategy; the purpose of this role will be to develop world class Business Intelligence using modern BI tools, working efficiently and thinking laterally around how to best solve building for every region in the most efficient way.

Required Skills:

  • Power BI skills experience.

  • Knowledge and experience of building reporting.

  • Architectural familiarity with SFDC.

  • For Power BI – knowledge of data modelling, transformation.

  • DAX to an advanced level.

  • Excellent data visualization skills.

  • Knowledge of using the Power BI service.

  • Knowledge of out-of-the-box SFDC architecture.

  • Experience designing Sales led reports from this structure (opportunities, forecast hierarchies etc.). Experience buildings reports and dashboard in Power BI from Salesforce data.

This person will be required to form close connections with senior business leaders around the business. The connections made may be in any region in which the business operates, and collaboration with likeminded analysts as well as local support roles will be crucial in the success of this role. To that end, the ability to communicate strongly and present back ideas to senior stakeholders is key.

This role will involve participating in various project-based initiatives. This could include collaboration with colleagues on the team, joining forces to solve Business Intelligence business problems, it may also involve working independently to solve business problems as well.

Problem solving skills will be useful in this role; the team is in the initial phases of its strategic execution; thinking laterally around how to best solve problems and overcome challenges will be important.

Being part of a global team, the role will be predominantly home working – dependent on location, there may be a suitable local office from which to work. Additionally, occasional travel to anywhere in the world may be required – this would typically be for team meetings and workshops - no more than once per quarter on average. This role will be expected to work collaboratively in a high-energy environment with a high-performance team.

The successful person will analyze data on the organization’s existing and potential markets to provide information which can be used to identify and define marketing opportunities for the company’s products and services.

Analyses, designs, runs, and documents complex queries and ad-hoc programs incorporating data from a variety of disparate sources.

Develops expert knowledge base including market size, segmentation and profiling, trends, drivers, for the business unit to keep abreast of external conditions.

Working with the senior management, product development, and marketing teams, sets objectives for intelligence gathering, and create a feasible schedule for the collection and analysis.

Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues

Utilize strong statistical and analytical skills to make sense of business trends, and communicate findings to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.

Any understanding and grasp of Machine Learning or AI principles and techniques is desirable, but not essential to this role, but the successful candidate will get an opportunity to immerse themselves in this discipline should they choose to do so.
