Summary:

Under the direction of a Radiologist and/or a Site Manger / Director, performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of non-ionizing high frequency ultrasound waves. After post hire training, an Ultrasound technologist will demonstrate the ability to, and perform, a variety of technical procedures at a proficient level. Ultrasound technologists will participate in after hours and weekend call rotations as required by site specific expectations.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of an Approved School of Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Ultrasonography

  • Registered as an Ultra sonographer with either the ARRT or ARDMS

  • Registered as a Vascular Technologist with one of the following credentialing organizations:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) , Vascular Sonography RT(VS)

  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)

  • BLS Preferred

  • Registered as an ARDMS (RVT), ARRT (RT-VS), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).

  • Registered as an Ultra sonographer with either the ARRT or ARDMS

EXPERIENCE

  • One (1) year experience as an RVT required

  • If no applicants have one (1) year experience as an RVT, the applicants meeting the following criteria will be considered next:

  • Graduate of an Approved School of Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Ultrasonography

  • Registered as an Ultra sonographer with either the ARRT or ARDMS

  • Registered as a Vascular Technologist with one of the following credentialing organizations:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) , Vascular Sonography RT(VS)

  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

  • No experience required

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Good general health necessary in order to stand and walk most of the day. Must have the ability to pull, push, and lift patients and equipment.
