Foster Farms LLC Maintenance Supervisor/Day Shift (Pay Range: $79,075 - $98,850) in Kelso, Washington

Job Description Pay Range: $82,000 - $96,500 plus eligible for 5% target bonus. Direct and supervise production maintenance activities to ensure reliable and efficient operations result. Specifically: Plan and schedule operations and preventative maintenance requirements to maintain all equipment/facilities at safe, efficient operating levels. Establish maintenance priorities based upon need/budget restrictions, and within established maintenance performance standards. Provide purchasing requirements for spare parts and/or materials based upon need, availability & value. Interface with Engineering department to provide resources for installation of new, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. Establish a safe working environment by instilling safety awareness within the workforce. Interface with USDA to ensure the Plant Improvement Program is maintained to USDA standards. Plan manpower requirements and develop production maintenance budgets. Specifically: Control production maintenance monies for labor, parts, and/or material (in the best interest of the company) while maintaining an effective, efficient production maintenance operation. Train and professionally develop staff. Provide a reliable workforce able to function in an atmosphere of teamwork/good relations. Provide technical assistance to other departments in order to solve reoccurring equipment/material failures. Provide technical knowledge/expertise (as required) in order to make sound decisions based on technical data. Conduct an environmental inspection each month and keep current all required maintenance records. Qualifications BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field and/or relevant work experience. Minimum 6-10 years previous management experience preferably in poultry or related industry. Proficient written and oral communication skills. Proficient with a personal computer and with MS office programs such as MS Word and MS Excel. Strong maintenance administration knowledge or understanding. Thorough knowledge & experience in mechanical poultry processing & packaging equipment. Must be able to submit and pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
