Job Description Pay Range: $95,500 - $119,500 Plus eligible for 10% target bonus. The General Production Manager (GPM) will lead a team that includes Shipping/Receiving, Weigh/Price, and Warehouse. Additionally, the GPM will improve the efficiency of supply chain operations through data collection and analysis. The position requires excellent attention to detail, in-depth understanding of the delivery process and exceptional analytics skills. The GPM will manage on time departures and warehouse supplies for the plant. The GPM will proactively look for opportunities to improve the overall process in the department. This department is a 24 hour/6 day a week operation. Essential Job Functions: Collect data on supply chain operations. Analyze data to find areas of supply chain operations process improvements. Manage on time departures and reduce shortages. Establish and support relationships with internal business units. Responsible for shipping/weigh/price/warehousedepartment(s) and for meeting department and company goals and standards on quality, yield, productivity cost and safety. Responsible for the development and training of Supervisorsand employees, working within the guidelines and company policies. Responsible for quick and timely feedback to plant on all exceptions in regard to productivity, downtime, quality, yield, cost and safety. Responsible for monitoring standards and indexes needed to control area of responsibility. Oversees all warehouse and freezer operations. Administer to ensure that safety orientations and safety meetings are held as required to keep frequency and severity to a minimum. Participates at department meetings in the planning processes and to the testing and development of techniques/processes to support business needs. Assess carrier operations and enforce compliance with quality standards. Assess customers results and communicate KPIs/Scorecard to sale team. Lead, train and mentor team members individually and as a team. Measure supply chain performance and report to management. Work with the procurement, transportation, sales team, production planning and IT departments to enhance service and delivery process to customers. Collaborate with other departments to close operational gaps. Balance safety, cost management and business growth then prepare and create reporting to tools to measure performance. Focus on safety, cost management and business growth in all interactions and directives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business management or related fields and 2 or more years' experience in a supply management role or related position or 6 years of experience in experience in a supply management role or related position.) Proven knowledge of Transportation or Supply Chain Working knowledge of data analysis and forecasting tools and ability to develop actionable insights from data. Attention to detail.
