THE OPPORTUNITY

Looking to do what you love at a dynamic and Innovative consulting firm? Ecora is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join the IT department at our Kelowna location on a permanent full-time basis.

As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our technological infrastructure. This position demands a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. You'll be part of a dedicated team focused on providing top-tier support for our internal systems and our clients' technology needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide first and second-level support for desktops, laptops, Office 365 applications, VoIP phones, and related technology.

  • Assist in managing and supporting Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, and Windows Server environments.

  • Support the configuration and maintenance of AutoCAD, and other Engineering software installations and troubleshooting.

  • Participate in the management of Atera RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) for proactive systems monitoring and maintenance.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT documentation, procedures, and policies.

  • Collaborate with team members on technology projects, including system upgrades and migrations.

  • Provide user training and support, ensuring effective use of technology resources.

  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding procedures for end-users.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in IT support and a degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR 2+ years of relevant IT support experience without formal education.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing high-quality customer service.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Proficient with Office 365, Windows 10/11, and Windows Server.

  • Experience in an Engineering environment is an asset.

  • Experience with Linux server administration is an asset.

  • Familiarity with Atera RMM or similar remote monitoring and management tools.

  • Knowledge of networking concepts and experience with firewall configurations.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently, with minimal supervision.

  • Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to participate in ongoing learning and certification opportunities to stay current with industry trends and technologies.

  • Flexibility to handle after-hours emergencies or scheduled maintenance tasks as needed.
