Vectrus Civil Eng (CE) Manager in Keesler AFB, Mississippi

Overview

Responsible for civil engineer operations that include maintenance and repair of Real Property (RP), RPIE and Real Property Similar Equipment (RPSE) as listed in the contract. Oversees facilities O&M to execute design, procure, maintain, and construct projects using in-house resources or subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, leads, and directs the operations of the Civil Engineering Operations and Maintenance element with skilled and unskilled labor to provide a range of services. Maintenance elements include, but are not limited to: utility, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, power production, barrier maintenance, vegetation control and carpentry services. Operations elements includes, but are not limited to: developing requirements, estimates, project design documents, and oversight for new construction, repair, and renovation projects.

  • Keeps up to date with latest Air Force requirements to ensure work is accomplished in a timely and compliant manner.

  • Provides reports on the status of facilities, infrastructure, and related systems to site leadership. Interacts with different organizations to determine and solve facility and infrastructure needs.

  • Ensures the status of work orders in the data management system are kept current.

  • Tracks Operations budgets and suggests funding sources for sustainment and repair projects.

  • Oversees staffing issues for key members of the CE Department.

  • Performs other duties assigned by Program Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineer or five (5) years Professional Bachelor or Master's degree in Architecture from an ABET/NCARB Accredited University and registered as set forth by the Statutes regulating Professional Architects/Engineers in the states of Mississippi/Louisiana/Alabama

  • Fifteen (15) years' experience as a registered professional engineer/architect, with at least (7) years' experience managing, providing, operating, and maintaining highly complex infrastructure and facilities to include at least five (5) years Air Force Deputy Base Civil Engineer experience or equivalent.

  • Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD and basic asset management principles. Management, Supervisory, and technical experience requirements may be combined where the duties overlap.
