The expected pay range for a Command Center Operator in Keaau/Hilo is $18.50 to $21.15 per hour.

HPM Building Supply is continuing to grow so we are seeking to hire a Command Center Operator. The Command Center Operator is vital in maintaining safety and security and helping deter crime and theft at our company's and customers' facilities. Your primary responsibility as a Command Center Operator will be to ensure the smooth functioning of our command center in Hawaii, promptly addressing incidents, emergencies, and other critical events. You will be our in-house investigative guru, analyzing, responding to, and stopping crime in its tracks.

The Command Center Operation will be based in Keaau, Hawaii, and has plans to be based in Hilo, Hawaii later this year.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, such as security monitoring, emergency response, military or law enforcement, or a related field is highly desirable.

  • Flexibility and Availability: Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Availability for on-call duty during emergencies or critical incidents.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using command center software, surveillance systems, and communication tools. Familiarity with incident management systems, CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and alarms is advantageous. Intermediate keyboarding and Microsoft Office skills are required.

  • Calm Under Pressure: Ability to remain composed and act decisively during stressful situations. Maintain a professional demeanor and exhibit strong people skills when interacting with others.

  • Customer Service: Ability to provide high-quality customer service. Follows proper and courteous telephone etiquette.
