Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

This position is part of the ICT (Industrial & Commercial Transportation) Integrated Supply Chain organization. The candidate will work cross-functionally to drive multi-year strategies and accelerate business improvement opportunities within the supply base including strategic and tactical initiatives. The candidate will work across the Integrated Supply Chain team to address gaps and provide solutions for critical commodity. Critical to this role will be exceeding established goals in inventory, productivity, quality and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the supplier quality, engineering, especially with supply chain team to manager daily procurement issues to support ICT requirements.

• Support category sourcing to drive procurment KPIs (delivery, quality, productivity, inventory,VAVE)

• Support Project sourcing to track th project implementation in supplier side.

• Support the TEOA-P initiatives and Star Level attainment for the region and business unit.

• Assure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

• Provide timely and complete responses to various corporate, segment, business unit and functional support requirements.

• Foster an environment of open collaboration with all functions of ICT as may be required to advance operations and Integrated Supply Chain performance.

What your background should look like:

• Demonstrate track record that demonstrates ability to achieve desired results

• Person of true convictions, willing to stand up for those convictions; able to communicate, reinforce and coach/counsel others on those convictions, unafraid of change / improvement

• Business acumen, strong communication and negotiation skills, leadership, creative, presentation skills, patient, influencing skills, results driven, action oriented, comfortable with ambiguity

• Basic manufacturing knowledge about Molding, Stamping, Assy etc, understand the cost structure and MFG process

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain.

• At least 3-5 years of relevant Supply Chain/Procurement/MFG experience

• English communication skill, better can speak Chinese to work with oversea team.

• SAP experience

• Travel up to 10-25% of time
