Work location: Texas Health Kaufman, 850 Ed Hall Drive Kaufman, TX 75142

Work hours: Full-Time Nights, 7pm-7am with rotating weekends and holidays

Department Highlights:

Come join Texas Health Kaufman as a Registered Nurse! As a Registered Nurse you will be working in our 29-34 bed unit for patients in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Orthopedic and General Surgery. Our unit truly is a family with 18 nurse, 8 PCTS and 4 monitor technicians. As a Registered Nurse at Texas Health Kaufman you have opportunities for shared governance, NCAP, certification bonuses, tuition reimbursement, self-scheduling and much, much more! Here’s What You Need

· Associate's Degree Nursing required

· BSN (preferred)

· 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required

Licenses and Certifications

· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required

· ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Required

· PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days Required

· ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course 6 Months Required

· TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 Months Required

What You Will Do

· Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
