RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Computer Systems Analyst will be responsible for protecting against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction and develops IT security policies and standards. Completes tasks designed to ensure security of the organization's systems and information assets. Implements policies or procedures and tracks compliance throughout the organization. Works with end users to determine requirements of individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Monitor their organization’s networks for security breaches and investigate when one occurs.
Use and maintain software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect sensitive information
Check for vulnerabilities in computer and network systems
Research the latest information technology (IT) security trends
Prepare reports that document general metrics, attempted attacks, and security breaches
Develop security standards and best practices for their organization
Recommend security enhancements to management or senior IT staff
Assist with evaluation and verification of implementation of Operational Directives (e.g., Operational Order [OPORD], Task Order [TASKORD], Fragmentary Order [FRAGORD], Naval Telecommunications Directive [NTD], Computer Task Order [CTO]) and other regulatory compliance on selected PMRF IT systems, in coordination with C-ISSM.
Demonstrate experience performing security audits through review of system level audit logs
Able to maintain DoD 8570.01-M baseline qualification (IAT2) and Computing Environment (CE) certification requirements for privileged access on PMRF network devices, and Windows and Linux operating systems.
Active Secret security clearance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:
Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
Assisting in the development of new initiatives
