Academy Sports + Outdoors Customer Service Supervisor (Sunday - Thursday 1:00PM - 10:00PM) in Katy, Texas

Job Description:

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required.

Work Experiences:

  • 2+ years of related experience required.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals, both internally and externally

  • Maintain the customer’s perspective as a driving force behind activities

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast paced, frequently changing environment while remaining detailed and organized

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team setting

Responsibilities:

  • Manage associates through coaching and establishing a positive, productive work environment

  • Recommend process and procedure improvements to ensure quality, service, and profitability goals are met

  • Handle all staff responsibilities, including but not limited to: hiring, training, firing, establishing performance standards, conducting performance reviews and growing careers

  • Answer incoming customer contacts in a professional manner

  • Respond to customer inquiries through multiple channels, as needed

  • Handle escalated customer issues with sensitivity, accuracy, and a sense of urgency

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules

  • Duties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Attendance

  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
