As Global Planning specialist, you will be part of the Planning Excellence & Central SC Master Data Management Team and your priorities are:
Technical responsibilities. Govern data management and integration. Material master data creation and maintenance. Standardize reporting and analytics. Ensure data integrity of planning systems.
Functional responsibilities. Offer functional expertise to business processes before building them into the Planning platform. Perform centralized processes like portfolio segmentation, baseline generation, and analysis of Global 3PM (multi-region) suppliers.
Education. Standardized onboarding process and education. User training for License to operate the planning systems. Develop planning capabilities within the organization.
Communication. Establish forum to communicate planning updates, changes and enhancements to the systems. Build of community of practice across the business.
You will be an empowered member of our team, reporting to the Global Planning Excellence & SC Master Data Manager and closely collaborating with the Regional Planning Team. You will maintain a close working relationship across the SC Planning and Master Data functions to ensure that the Planning Excellence and Central SC Master Data Management Team in the Tea business is responsible for the continuous improvement of the planning tools and processes and to provide a centralized subject matter expertise in planning including supply chain-related master data management
This is a key function to establish a governance structure and support the transformation.
Its aim is to eliminate planning silos across the globe through the governance of planning best practices and continuous improvement activities across the enterprise.
Bring a sense of pragmatism to the planning requirements for the Tea business will be key so that we optimize the solutions we put in place in terms of complexity and cost.
Your Key Tasks:
Develop and maintain workflows in Kinaxis for each planning modules
Provide thought-leadership for the characterization of historical demand and work with Regional Demand Managers and local demand planners to develop effective forecast models
Data analysis of demand patterns, promo profiles and other data sources to inform demand planning strategies and models.
Develops performance analytics and reporting in line with global standards set by Global Planning Manager and RDMs.
Monitor performance analytics and reporting in line with global standards set by Global Planning Excellence and SC MDM.
Support Global Planning Manager in managing Community of Planners including learning material creation and maintenance, collection of best practices and communication of enhancements and changes in the system
Oversee Global 3PM (multi-region suppliers)
Identify improvement and development through benchmarking, process health checks and assessments, planners-skills assessments
Based on the input provided by data requestors create, extend, maintain, or terminate material master data for all material types in respective systems.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality master data which meets the requirements of our internal and external customers, considering relevant global standards.
Coordinate master data creation process to assure it is produced on time and in full.
Support Material Workflow users in creating material master data. Provide guidance or training to improve efficiency of material creation process. Informs requestors and data users about status of material workflow.
Analyzes and troubleshoot system issues reported by data users. First point of contact towards business users regarding any SC data topic. Provide regular reports regarding master data availability, quality, and workflow performance.
Lead and deploy planning projects that help unlock process efficiencies and improve the planners’ effectiveness in analyzing their data and delivering business KPIs.
Supports and Implement key supply chain master data management processes for data objects such as product masters and other SC owned master data objects, ensuring alignment to other areas
Support maintenance and enhancements of existing tools like S4 Hana and Kinaxis
Lead in gathering user requirements of enhancements and creation of test scripts for the planning solutions to be implemented
Coordinate system integration testing (SITs) with IT for any enhancements in the system
Manage user acceptance testing (UATs) of enhancements to the planning solutions
NB. Regional Demand Managers and Demand Planners still own the baseline forecasts and are responsible for the cleansed history input to baseline forecasts and lifecycle management (Transition mapping) but the Planning Analysts support the history analysis and cleansing, and identify the optimal statistical models, so once set up, this is a routine process that is managed by exception.
Key Interfaces and relevant stakeholders for this role:
Reporting line to the Global Planning manager while ensuring close collaboration with the market team
Interacting with the Organisational Functions Teams
Supporting and interacting closely with regional operational planners
At least 3 years in FMCG Planning Management
Has experience of planning tools in a complex global business
Ideally has experience of Kinaxis Rapid Response or similar cloud-based supply chain planning tools and experience of SAP4Hana
Effective juggling of multiple deliverables simultaneously
Good understanding of working in a multicultural international environment and the ability to deliver results in an agile environment.
Experience of managing complex projects and advising senior managers.
Native-level English is a must.
Deep understanding of data-mining techniques and statistical forecasting
Detailed knowledge and expertise in SAP data objects and MDM particularly on Supply Chain Master Data
Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in straight-forward ways
Basic understanding of customer service and inventory KPIs
Knowledge in Visualization tools (Power BI, Anaplan, DOMO, etc) is an advantage
Advanced level of expertise in all MS Office platforms.
Team player. Keeps a balance between personal accountability and delivery through teamwork.
Proactive ‘can do’ attitude with flexibility in handling ad hoc requests with short deadlines.
Excellent bias for action, shows accountability and responsibility.
Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks at once, as well as the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
