Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking Global Energy Expert to join our People & Organization (P&O) team.

About the role

As a Global Energy Expert, you will support EHS Team in fulfilling their responsibility, i. e. maintaining an effective Global Energy Management System for the Business. This opportunity will allow you to take part in continuous improvement and execution of Siemens Digital Industries Software Energy global governance, focuses on global processes, defining product- and business-specific Energy related requirements and standards, and maintaining oversight of Business “Headquarter-driven” projects. You will have a great opportunity to maintain and foster close interaction with P&O EHS, other Business Energy Management Experts, Country EHS Officers and Country business or EHS counterparts, also supports DI SW Global Physical security strategy implementation by participating in Asset Classification & Protection assessments.

Area of responsibility

  • Collaborates with the EHS team and Product Environmental Protection Experts to Development and implementation of energy management plans to help identify, prioritize and implement energy efficiency measures.

  • Acting as a management representative collect and analyze energy consumption data to identify trends and identify energy savings opportunities. This includes monitoring energy consumption, costs and emissions.

  • Based on the data and analyzes collected, the energy management expert identifies possible energy efficiency measures that can be implemented in the organization. This may include improving processes, implementing energy-efficient technologies, or training employees to save energy.

  • The representative develops plans for the implementation of energy efficiency measures and works with other departments or teams to put these measures into practice.

  • Responsible for monitoring and measuring energy efficiency measures.

  • Act as contact person to inform employees about the importance of energy management and energy saving. This may include training, presentations and the provision of information materials in collaboration with internal communication teams.

  • Reporting and documentation on the results of energy efficiency measures and progress towards achieving energy goals.

  • The energy management representative ensures that the company complies with relevant legal requirements and standards in the field of energy management, including ISO 50001.

  • Drive continuous improvement of energy efficiency in the organization.

  • Support energy related projects such as Solar Panels installations in cooperation with Facility Management and Operations team.

  • Support business, when required, in the decision for better energy mix choices and energy purchasing.

  • Additionally, support the physical security team by identifying deficiencies for improvement in high-security areas, security equipment, and security systems.

  • This includes collaboration and support to the physical security team to ensure that all control measures are in place to ensure timely identification of corrective actions that need to be implemented.

Your qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful experience as Energy Management expert and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge.

  • Degree in Engineering or other related disciplines from recognized institutions or equivalent.

  • Evidenced training and expertise in the broader spectrum of Energy and Environmental topics.

  • Expert level knowledge of ISO 50001 (Energy management), management system and implementing / managing management system elements. Evidenced training / expertise in the broader spectrum of Environmental topics.

  • Relevant experience in consultancy, auditing, training, and experience in implementing energy management systems and related schemes such as ISO 50001.

  • Trained Internal Auditor on ISO 50001 (ISO 14001 is an advantage).

You can work both remote or hybrid – depending of your location. Since we work very closely with our employees, we are looking for a team member who will travel locally occasionally on our sites.
