Overview:

$15/hour

Production Technicians make Worlds of Fun come alive with the installation and operation of lights, sound, and other technical aspects of the park, including shows, parades, special events, rides, and the atmosphere of the midways.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with a team to enhance park looks and sounds, creating the ultimate guest experience.

  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment.

  • Constructing and installing new products in a manner consistent with the artistic vision of park management, show producers and designers.

  • Troubleshooting equipment failure and working to resolve any issues safely and efficiently.

  • Assisting with load in and out of park activities, productions, and special events.

  • Assisting guest artists, production crews, and other outside labor/materials as assigned.

  • Preparing facilities for shows, special events, and daily activities and ensuring smooth operation.

  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work environment for all involved.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of technical theatre experience, preferably in sound and/or lighting.

  • Minimum beginner to intermediate knowledge of theatrical lighting and/or sound.

  • Ability and willingness to learn and develop new skills and collaborate with a team to work towards project goals.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, lift, team lift, and carry technical equipment as well as work in high and/or low temperatures.

  • Must be 17 years of age or older.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods and willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet business needs.

  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
