Actalent Medical Assistant in Kansas City, Missouri

Multiple Medical Assistant Openings:Description:

As a Medical Assistant you will be part of a team of caregivers to provide care for the people who need it most. You would be responsible for receiving and preparing patients for medical examination and treatment. This includes taking vital signs, checking medical and social history, assisting the provider with the examination and treatment, and entering clinical data into the electronic health record. Under the general supervision of a medical provider, you will perform general medical services such as medication administration, and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You are a critical part of the patient-centered medical team to provide quality, accessible, and safe patient-centered care. If you have a passion for working with a team of dedicated caregivers to make care visible every day, this role is for you.

Qualifications:

Successful Candidates will have:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Graduated from an accredited medical assistant program.

  • Certified by one of the following:

  • NRCMA

  • IF not certified by one of the above, 2 years of experience in a private office, ambulatory care clinic, or hospital may be initially substituted for certification. You may be asked to become certified as a future requirement of employment.

  • RMA

  • CMA

  • NCMA

  • CCMA

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certified, or able to be obtained within 3 months of hire

  • Must exhibit the ability to work with people (staff, visitors, and clients).

  • Dedicated individuals who are devoted to tasks or a purpose with loyalty or integrity

  • Posses the ability to make an impact

Shift:

  • 8am to 5pm - Monday through Friday

Pay:

  • $16 - $22/hour

Experience:

  • Entry to Intermediate
