Overview

The Licensed Bachelor's Social Worker is responsible for collaborating with internal and external team members to identify barriers to care and resource needs for patients and families. The Bachelor's Social Worker supports patients, families and teams by conducting assessments; providing emotional support; identifying resource needs, making community referrals, and advocating for families. Bachelor's Social Worker collaborates with colleagues to enhance and meet strategic goals.

This is a Monday-Friday, day shift role at our main campus in KCMO.

Please Note:

Medical Social Workers at Children's Mercy are offered benefits to aid in professional growth and development including:

  • Approximately 20 complimentary social work CEU opportunities per year from the Department of Social Work and additional CEU opportunities from hospital-wide education opportunities

  • Supervision for clinical licensure after six months of appointment, based on availability

  • Certification pay for qualified credentials (LCSW, LSCSW, ACM-SW, or CCM)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Social Work BSW from Accredited Program and 1-2 years experience. Student practicum in hospital social work would count as 1 year experience

  • Bachelors of Social Work Missouri, Required Upon Hire

  • LBSW MO Licensed Bachelor's Social Worker, Required Upon Hire

  • LBSW KS Licensed Bachelor's Social Worker, Required within 90 days

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $22.13/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
