ASM Global Intern Finance/Accounting in Kansas City, Missouri

T-Mobile Center is Kansas City’s home for live entertainment and sporting events. Anchor to more than $6 billion of reinvestment in a revitalized downtown Kansas City, the award-winning venue has welcomed more than 9 million guests attending over 950 events. Having exceeded attendance and financial projections each year since opening in 2007, T-Mobile Center is a unique public/private partnership between ASM and the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

We are looking for a Finance/Accounting Intern to be a part of our Finance Department. You will work closely with our finance and accounting team to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial activities. This internship will provide you with a wide range of accounting experience, from bank transactions to financial report preparation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research, record, and reconcile daily bank transactions into the general ledger.

  • Process accounts payable in compliance with the Association's policies and procedures.

  • Complete all assigned monthly, quarterly, and year-end close tasks accurately and timely.

  • Prepare financial reports and statements.

  • Assist other departments with requests, including but not limited to re-issuing and/or voiding checks.

  • Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting.

  • Must understand core accounting principles.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Must have solid knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel & Word.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to take initiative, but also able to ask for direction when needed.
