Summary:

Our Generator Specialists provide technical service to our customers for generator equipment and automatic transfer switches.

Reports to: Foreman

Minimum Qualifications:

· Degree relating to diesel and/or natural gas engines, generators, and automatic transfer switches; OR

2 years of experience

· Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

· Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge

· Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Office products and Adobe Reader

Working Conditions:

Work locations are primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions with frequent travel to customer locations for on-site repairs. You will work around electricity and other potential hazards requiring appropriate safety equipment and practices at all times. Much of the equipment used is heavy, so you must have the ability to lift as much as 75 pounds, as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

· Trouble-shoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance and start-ups on generator equipment and automatic transfer switches

· Perform warranty work on power generation equipment

· Process required paperwork within deadlines

· Maintain part inventory of service truck

· Participate in the rotating responsibility of a 24/7 on-call technician rotation
