Aerotek Electrical/Mechanical Assembler in Kansas City, Missouri

Description:

Assembler will be assembling lab equipment. Will be required to do full-cycle assembly and testing on their own. Will be using hand tools and assembling stainless steel lab equipment. Required to lift up to 50 lbs on their own. Will be using blueprints/schematics daily to assemble equipment--must have a high level of proficiency with reading and interpreting blueprint information.

Qualified candidates should have the following:

· Knowledge of product assembly.

· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring schematics, bill of materials or associated work instructions.

· Troubleshoot and repair problems with some help.

· Exercise good judgment in the selection of tools, materials and equipment used in the non-repetitive assembly operation.

· Apply basic knowledge and understanding to assemble products that meet quality and performance expectations.

· Ability to lift 50 – 75 lbs.

· Previous industrial assembly experience is a plus.

· Ability to work in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Mechanical or electrical assembly or related experience (NOT assembly line) -Mechanically inclined

• $20hr goes to $28.17hr at 1 year mark

• 1st shift 6am-2:30pm (Overtime would start at 5am if needed)

• Union facility

• Must be able to read blueprints, they will do a 10-question blueprint test in the interview

• Start with phone interview for 10-15 minutes and then schedule in-person with facility tour and above test
