UMB Bank Consumer Loan Document Processor II (Hybrid Schedule) in Kansas City, Missouri

The Loan Operations Team is a part of the Middle Office team that provides loan preparation and assistance for consumer, commercial, and real estate loans. Within the Loan Operations environment, this team interacts with internal partners to ensure all loans provided to them have correct information and are in compliance with UMB loan regulatory guidelines. With our robust training to provide extensive UMB and financial knowledge, the Loan Operations team provides loan support and loan decisions to their internal partners.

The Consumer Loan Document Processor II has a specific and impactful function for our clients and UMB to ensure accurate loan requests are processed and completed. The Loan Operations teams are subject matter experts that ensure all information is compliant for UMB loan guidelines.

As a Consumer Loan Document Processor II, you will be responsible for supporting UMB’s Loan Coordinators with any and all preparation of consumer and real estate loan documentation. While partnering with the Loan Coordinators, you will ensure loan types conform to lending policy and regulatory guidelines. This position assists with obtaining specific information required to complete all loan files. You will be the subject matter expert for loan operations as you reply to inquires and resolve problems for the team. You can expect a fast-paced environment with unpredictable scenarios while maintaining flexibility and adaptability to client needs. Our team is motivated to be self-driven and enjoy the challenge of learning new skills while controlling the progression of their career. This role focuses on the protection of UMB and our loan lending by ensuring all loans have correct information and conform to our policies.

The Loan Operations team is about creating strong connections amongst its associates to develop and maintain a positive working experience. You are valued for who you are in a fun, professional setting. It is a smaller team that works closely together to ensure everyone is successful. Associates are supported and encouraged to work with their manager to develop roadmaps for opportunity within Loan Operations and beyond.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • You will use problem solving skills to determine what action needs to be taken to ensure consumer and real estate loans have all information needed to be approved.

  • You will need positive communication skills to share information with the Loan Coordinators to say whether a loan can be approved or not.

  • You will need to have strong time management skills to operate efficiently for loans and their deadlines.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2 years of consumer and real estate loan processing experience or equivalent work experience

  • Previous experience with loan documentation software

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $33,920.00 - Maximum: $78,450.00
