Honeywell Business Systems Analyst II in Kansas City, Missouri

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates project management skills and may serve as a lead on projects.

  • Analyzes existing applications and processes to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements.

  • May oversee or lead the evaluation and selection process for application packages. Performs functional and performance testing, and maintenance.

  • Resolves issues by designing, developing, and implementing innovative technical solutions.

  • Participates in planning sessions with customers to improve business processes and prioritize investments in process, people, services, and infrastructure.

  • Identifies system requirements, develops application specifications, leads conversion and migration efforts, and develops convergence plans toward standards.

  • Establishes relationships with internal organizations in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs and influence strategic initiatives.

  • Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Identifies better sources of data feeds and interfaces with Enterprise Architects to ensure feasibility with corporate data warehouse.

  • Participates in the development software integrations including developing implementation plans for integration testing. Interfaces with testing teams to incorporate plans into integration testing process.

You Must Have

  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q level security clearance.

  • Two or more years of direct work experience

  • Bachelors degree, certification or two additional years of direct work exp in lieu of Bachelors degree or certification

  • Programming experience in various major programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, Python)

We Value

  • Has a broad level of understanding of internal system functions and processes.

  • Experience with Process Mapping.

  • Knowledge of SysML, UML or other Data or Process Mapping software systems and concepts.

  • Ability to gather, interpret and drive insights from raw data. Ability to analyze problems to develop innovative and effective solutions.

  • Knowledge or experience with programming languages.
