Insight Global Building Automation Systems (BAS) Control Engineer in Kansas City, Missouri

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a BAS Control Engineer to join their team in the Kansas City, Missouri or St. Louis, Missouri area. The BAS Control Engineer will be responsible for working with and programming Building Automation and Energy Management Systems in both commercial and industrial environments. This individual needs to have an understanding of controls systems, as well as mechanical systems including HVAC, lighting, and IT/OT Networks. Responsibilities within these systems include programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, calibrating, and documenting. This individual will also be responsible for interfacing with clients, internal teams, and the commissioning team to ensure deliverables are being met for various projects. The Control Engineer will take part in design reviews and needs prior knowledge of building codes as well as site safety procedures. This individual will be required to work onsite 5 days/week, reporting to the corporate office as well as end-client project sites. Fieldwork will vary due to project work and clients.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)

Strong experience with Building Automation Systems and Energy Management Systems within a commercial or industrial environment

Prior field experience within a commercial or industrial environment programming IT/OT networks Preferred Engineering License (PE)

Tridium Niagara Framework AX or N4 Certification

Knowledge of MQTT, OPC, Lonworks, Modbus, BACnet null
