HNTB Application Operations Administrator III in Kansas City, Missouri

This opportunity entails being responsible for troubleshooting and resolving advanced application issues that are assigned to the team. Also responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, performance and documentation of enterprise applications. Participates in 24/7 on-call rotation. Serves as escalation point for Level I and II network engineers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provides tier 2 support and maintenance of applications to meet daily operational needs. May act as escalation point if needed.

  • Configures, maintains, and upgrades applications to meet daily operational needs and supports strategic IT projects.

  • Designs, implements, and maintains customizations of applications to meet evolving business needs including reports, dashboards, and workflows.

  • Designs, implements, and maintains third-party software connections and applications to support various business needs.

  • May act as the lead during debugging system integration and functionality issues including engagement with vendor support for defect resolution.

  • Develops, documents, and implements policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure data integrity, change protocols, customization, usage, etc.

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of application functionality, customization, and integration.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or

  • In lieu of education, 8 years of relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

  • Proficient in enterprise applications. May primarily work as a subject matter expert within specialized area(s).

  • Resolves complex issues that may require an extended amount of time to complete.

  • Applies knowledge to the design and implementation of applications.

  • Able to guide and mentor junior colleagues.

  • Takes a proactive approach to work and acts strategically.

  • Engages in On-Call rotation.

What We Prefer:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Linux, Java, SQL Server, and Powershell.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide technical support.

  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Sharepoint, and Unix.

  • Intermediate SQL Server Admin experience, including understanding and troubleshooting TSQL.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Certifications, Education, and Experience:

  • 5 years IT Operations experience.

  • ITIL certification.
