Our Home is looking for a Shift Manufacturing Line Lead to supervise and coordinate activities of their production line. This position is accountable for ensuring efficient operation in relation to material usage, product waste, and process parameter control to meet production objectives while improving quality, safety, and sanitation performance to maintain continued customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Responsible for coaching employees on all aspects of performing their duties in the safest manner possible for both personnel safety and food safety.

2. Supports adherence to production and packaging schedules and manages line staff. Works with other team members to reach budgeted line rates, prevent out of specification production, direct maintenance activities, manage raw material changes, and when necessary, uses the hold process to prevent out of specification product from reaching the customer.

3. Accountable for team problem solving & decision making. Facilitates the communication between shifts and teams. Work with Shift Supervisor to ensure crew is properly trained and cross trained.

4. Assist in meeting customer requirements through communication, documentation, training of team members, and adherence to sanitation guidelines and GMPs, including the HACCP program. Responsible, in part, for meeting requirements of various supplier certification programs and audits. Maintains plant cleanliness to satisfactory degree.

5. Improves process by following lean manufacturing concepts, company values, and company culture. Strives to improve each work process. Support the identification of value added and cost savings activities and projects.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Should have knowledge of database software; Rippling; excel spreadsheet software and word processing software.
