Logan Health Resident Care Partner ASSIST Center - PRN in Kalispell, Montana

Job Description Summary:

This position assists and sees to the needs of the residents in the ASSIST Center.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Microsoft Office computer skill knowledge and ability to learn other software as needed.

  • Must work effectively and efficiently without direct supervision. Possess ability to take initiative, exercise independent judgment, and proactively problem solve.

  • Previous experience in a similar care provider role preferred. Passionate about serving the needs of others.

  • Must use good judgment, apply a high degree of integrity and maintain confidentiality at all times. Must remain calm and professional when dealing with others and when facing emergency situations.

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

  • To be eligible for the Driver portion of the position:

  • Current Driver’s License required.

  • Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e; DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.).

  • In addition, personal vehicles used for LH business:

  • State law minimum liability coverage limits required.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Communicates effectively with others while maintaining discretion, courtesy and an understanding of individual privacy.

  • Oversees and supports the various activities of the Center.

  • Assists with simple meal preparation in a positive and professional manner.

  • Assists with non-medical needs including, but not limited to; overseeing trips to the laundry, coordination of appointments and/or transportation and providing shower and/or medication reminders.

  • Assists with and ensures the security of the Center. Seeks help or assistance immediately as warranted.

  • Assists with basic cleaning of facility and vehicles.

  • Proactively works as a team player by recognizing and assisting in all areas as needed.

  • Answers phones in a polite, professional manner and handles messages appropriately.

  • Works independently and in an organized and structured manner.

  • Provides information and explanations as necessary, but does not counsel, provide opinions or share personal information.

  • Driver Duties:

  • Provides transportation within the Flathead Valley in the ASSIST van or other designated vehicle.

  • Assists residents on/off the vehicle as required. Including use of wheelchair lifts and ramps.

Other duties may be assigned similar to the above consistent with knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job. Not all of the duties may be assigned to a position.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
