Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to provide painting services for The Terrace and The Retreat.
Policies and Procedures
Understand and support the philosophy, policies, and standards of Immanuel Living
Maintain confidentiality of residents, resident family members, coworkers, and Immanuel Living
Follow Facility and department policies and procedures
Position Duties
Prepare room(s) for painting
Set up for painting
Paint rooms, as needed and/or assigned
Tear down equipment after painting
Clean brushes, rollers, and other tools
Replace items removed during preparation (eg., plug-ins, switch cover plates, phone jack covers, etc.)
Work occasionally in tight and/or cramped spaces
Work occasionally from ladders or step-stools
Other Tasks
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally
Communicate with supervisor and participate in training and/or meetings that help facilitate departmental communication process
Function effectively as a team member
Maintain good working relationships with other staff
Maintain regular work attendance and follow established work schedule
Requirements
Professional licenses or certification required by law, rule or regulation for performing this position:
Current First Aid and CPR certifications
Essential physical, mental, and emotional requirements:
The employee must be at least 18 years of age, as position operates potentially hazardous equipment.
The employee must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work under time and/or deadline pressures.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand , walk, use hands to finger; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, squat, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required of this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
