Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to provide painting services for The Terrace and The Retreat.

Policies and Procedures

  • Understand and support the philosophy, policies, and standards of Immanuel Living

  • Maintain confidentiality of residents, resident family members, coworkers, and Immanuel Living

  • Follow Facility and department policies and procedures

    Position Duties

  • Prepare room(s) for painting

  • Set up for painting

  • Paint rooms, as needed and/or assigned

  • Tear down equipment after painting

  • Clean brushes, rollers, and other tools

  • Replace items removed during preparation (eg., plug-ins, switch cover plates, phone jack covers, etc.)

  • Work occasionally in tight and/or cramped spaces

  • Work occasionally from ladders or step-stools

  • Other Tasks

  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally

  • Communicate with supervisor and participate in training and/or meetings that help facilitate departmental communication process

  • Function effectively as a team member

  • Maintain good working relationships with other staff

  • Maintain regular work attendance and follow established work schedule

Requirements

Professional licenses or certification required by law, rule or regulation for performing this position:

  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications

    Essential physical, mental, and emotional requirements:

  • The employee must be at least 18 years of age, as position operates potentially hazardous equipment.

  • The employee must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work under time and/or deadline pressures.

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand , walk, use hands to finger; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, squat, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required of this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
