The Clinical Assistant position is an entry level position that will expose the right candidate to a rewarding career in healthcare. 

The Clinical Assistant supports our patient center mission by working alongside our Medical Assistants to support the needs of patients and providers

MISSION:  To provide clinical excellence with outstanding patient experience while ensuring that all members of the community have access to quality, comprehensive, patient-centered health care. 

*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  *

  • Greet and direct patients to the examining room.
  • Participate in daily clinical huddles.
  • Maintains supplies and inventory by checking stock daily: anticipating needed supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Adhere to the laws regarding safeguarding medical information according to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

*TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:  *

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles.  
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to quiet.
  • Variable work hours to meet the needs of the organization may be required.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. 
  • The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; or stoop. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. 

     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have adequate transportation to be able to commute to any of the Family Health Center sites.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to acquire knowledge electronic health systems. Basic typing skills and the ability to use computer software.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a team.
  • Basic Life Support and CPR Certified required. (Can complete after hire.)
