Schedule

  • 4-6 hours Weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

Respiratory Therapist (RT)Looking for a PRN talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

  • Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.

  • Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment

  • Respiratory muscle training

  • Incentive spirometers

  • Deep breathing and coughing

  • Nebulizer treatments

  • Bedside pulmonary function test

  • Cardio and pulmonary with collaboration

  • Complete a variety of bedside treatments

  • Daily and weekly documentation

  • Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter

  • Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation

  • Attend applicable IDT meetings

  • Experience with tracheotomy

  • Experience is a long term care setting

  • Follow procedure and protocol of facility

  • Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management

  • Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.

  • Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

  • This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.

  • 4- 6 hours per shift ; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload

  • Saturday and Sunday
