This is a day shift opening, with the option to work 4 10-hour shifts or 5 8-hour shifts per weekand opportunities to cross-train into other Ultrasound modalities.

Job Summary: The Diagnostic Sonographer responsibilities include performing diagnostic examinations by producing, assessing, and evaluating ultrasound images and related data.

The Diagnostic Sonographer IV, under the direction of a qualified physician, Diagnostic Imaging Director, and senior staff, provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Diagnostic Sonographer IV is the expert level and performs their duties independently according to the specialty areas they are registered and competent in. The Diagnostic Sonographer IV applies expert knowledge and requires highly specialized registrations. This position also may be assigned lead duties by the Diagnostic Sonography Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:Graduate of an accredited training program in Ultrasonography/Echocardiography. (Completes annual educational requirements to maintain valid Registration.)
  • Experience:At least three (3) years of recent experience (within the last five (5) years) as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
  • License(s)/Certification(s):
    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
      • Substitution: Additional experience beyond three (3) years and proven competency may replace certification upon approval by Diagnostic Imaging Director.
    • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
    • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR Certification at time of appointment and for continued employment.

Internal Hires:Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
