Dock Loader/Unloader - (3:00pm-11:30pm) (Mon-Fri.)

MSC is growing—and going—strong. We seek a team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment to perform daily receiving tasks, inspect shipments and verify correct items and quantities.

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

You will have a hands-on role in our warehouse to ensure delivery of our vast product line to our valued customers.

  • Loads, unloads, moves product by hand or by skid.

  • Operates basic warehouse vehicles (i.e., electric pallet jack and/or forklift).

  • Visually inspects boxes for damage or improper packaging.

  • Inspects products for damage.

  • Stages product for putaway bins, overstock or racks.

  • Operates all material handling equipment including forklift and conveyor equipment.

  • Supports the Safety Culture by following established SOP’s.

  • Engages in the local Safety Culture through safety team support and offering safety suggestions.

  • Assists department supervisors in identifying risk to associates or the business and mitigate those risks.

  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.

  • Counts items.

  • Keeps daily log book on all receipts.

  • Seals cardboard boxes with tape machine.

  • Shrink-wraps items/boxes/crates.

  • In order to meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily re-assigned to other warehouse functions.

  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

SKILLS:

  • Must obtain MSC license to drive warehouse vehicles within specified time requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bending to lift items from the floor and racks required.

  • Lifting items up to 75 pounds required.

  • Ability to drive forklifts for prolonged periods.
