Belle Tire Delivery Scrap Metal Driver - CDL A in Joliet, Illinois

Job Summary: The Delivery Scrap Metal Driver is a positive, energetic, eager-to-learn teammate that provides 100% customer satisfaction. The driver is generally responsible to collect scrap metal and other products at various stores, load, and unload products, and conduct truck inspections. This position will also learn the delivery process for Belle Tire locations. Duties and Responsibilities: * Do the right thing when interacting between employees and/or customers by communicating and representing oneself and Belle Tire in a professional manner * Demonstrates a dedication of high-quality service to internal and external customers * Pick up and deliver barrels and other items between warehouse, vendors and stores * Loading/unloading parts and containers onto/off of trucks * Conduct truck inspections * Follow Belle Tire safety methods and policies * Maintain an organized and safe work environment * Should be comfortable with GPS functionality * Other duties as assigned by management * Must be able to work independently Minimum Qualifications: * 21 years of age * Possess and maintain valid Class A certification * Valid and up-to-date federal DOT medical card * Be a dependable and safe-minded driver * Ability to read and write English Education Requirements: * High School Diploma/GED or vocational school certification Preferred Qualifications: * Prior experience with distribution centers and/or operating radio frequency equipment is preferred * Experience driving commercial trucks Physical Requirements: * The ability to be on your feet for long periods of time * The ability to safely lift of up to 75 pounds to chest level * Bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, stretching, grabbing, reaching and any other activity normally associated with a Driver position and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists. Working Conditions: * Daytime shift Monday -- Friday, some overtime may be required. * Local travel -- usually off on weekends (estimated to work 3-5 Saturday's throughout the year) * Consistent schedules and return home nightly. * Late-model equipment: 2018 -- 2024 Freightliner Cascadia's (Automatic and Manual) * Warehouse and Workshop environment, with heavy physical requirements.
