Summary This announcement is in conjunction with the JBLM NAF HR Office Job Fair at the Eagles Pride Golf Course in DuPont, WA on Tuesday, 7 May 2024 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Applicants participating in the event will receive first consideration. This position is located with Joint Base Lewis-McChord Aquatics Program. This is a training position for certified Lifeguard. Responsibilities This is a training position for a certified Lifeguard. Works under close supervision wherein the work is closely reviewed/monitored and detailed guidance provided Must participate in all required training (emergency rescue drills, emergency action plan simulations). Mandatory certifications must be complete within 30 calendar days of employment. Upon completion of mandatory certifications, the incumbent will be non-competitively reassigned to Recreation Aid (Lifeguard), PD #3206, responsible for lifeguarding guests in attendance at an assigned aquatic facility. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Must be able to swim. 2. Must be able to participate in lifeguard certifications. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differential This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). A cash bonus in the amount up to $1000 is authorized. Selectees are eligible to receive a cash bonus of $500 after working 50 hours and an additional $500 after working 100 hours. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
