Valiant Government Services, LLC Computer System Analyst II Network Technician in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington

Secret Regular We are pipelining candidates for a future role. Contingent upon Contract Award Valiant is seeking a Computer System Analyst II Network Technician for W-TRS. Potential locations could include: California, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, Korea and potential additional CONUS locations. Essential job duties include but are not limited to: Provides overall support for setting up and maintaining the physical network required for the Mission Training Complex (MTC) classrooms, VBS3 Enhanced Convoy Training System, and Battle Simulations Center (BSC). Responsibilities: Develops network and system architectures for Battle Command Exercises and coordinates requirements with the units Creates and installs LAN cables and assists with physical movement & arranging of equipment. Monitors simulation system performance to ensure maximum optimization Troubleshoots and identifies system issues Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all Army Mission Command System (AMCS) platforms including email, file transfer, multimedia, and teleconferencing. Analyzes voice, data, and multi-media communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media, and other devices. Coordinates requirements with the JLCCTC ERF Federation users and senior system administrators and the LVC-IA administrators Administers network security and works with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment design problems Provides guidance and leadership to virtual warriors, unit staff and MTC staff. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and participates in special projects; Provides and executes cross training with other technicians and performs other duties assigned by the section lead. Document all maintenance actions by inputting data in ISTS. May be required to support other devices and will be cross trained, as needed. Mental/Physical requirements for this role include: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as appropriate. Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind and rain) and at height. Willing to work a flexible workweek. Must have or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license and maintain post driving privileges. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation. This position may require travel to other installations and other WTRS locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS. Basic Qualifications: Commercial Computing Environment Certification; 2-3 years of experience commensurate with the position. US citizenship is required. Possess an Active Secret US Government Clearance or ability to obtain a clearance. Desired Skills: Preferred Prior experience in the configuration and operation of JLCCTC hardware & software supporting US Army training exercises Experience with the configuration and operation of Extensible C4I Instrumentation Suite (ExCIS) Experience in the configuration and operation of the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) and Army artillery operations.
