Staff Registered Nurse (RN), UHS Wilson Medical Center United Health Services is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg NT 4 department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift: Day

$37.45 - $59.38 per hour, depending on experience. Staff Registered Nurse (RN) / Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

Education/Experience Minimum Required: A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting License/Certification Minimum Required: Current NYS RN License Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients.

  • Rooms are air conditioned and heated.

  • Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.

  • Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.

  • Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.

  • PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies
