JOB DESCRIPTION:The role of a CNA Trainee requires attention to detail and an eye for quality. They are responsible for ensuring that the units they oversee are clean, well-maintained, and safe for residents. The role is also to provide nursing support services by performing resident-related services, which an unlicensed aide can do.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting in Meal Service for the residents

  • Stocking and keeping track of inventory on the unit

  • Making sure the Unit is clean and in line with NYS long-term care regulations

  • Assisting with other tasks on the Unit under the UA scope of practice

  • Mingling with the residents of the Unit

  • Act as Support Staff

  • Any other requests are given throughout the shift to make sure the Unit is operating efficiently

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness

  • Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds

  • Covid Vaccinated
