Meta Government and Social Impact Partner Manager, SSA region - STE 7 months in Johannesburg, South Africa

Summary:

Meta is seeking an experienced Sub-Saharan Africa Partner Manager for 7 months who will serve as a critical partner to government, politics, and nonprofit partners utilizing our commercial products to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. In this role you will establish and strengthen key client relationships by providing advertiser education and satisfaction.A successful Partner Manager is a detailed oriented, client focused partner with strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams with ease and flexibility. The role will be based in London ideally or any suitable office i.e. Dubai, Johannesburg, Nigeria, Kenya post the onboarding supporting government, political and nonprofit (G/P/N) partners across Africa. This is a 7 months contract.

Required Skills:

Government and Social Impact Partner Manager, SSA region - STE 7 months Responsibilities:

  1. Establish relationships and manage existing relationships across GPN advertising ecosystem (institutions, government entities, political candidates, agencies, etc.), and build trust and credibility of Meta and its suite of products

  2. Understand key decision makers and influencers and their organization's business objectives, establish and maintain actionable relationship maps

  3. Demonstrate value of Meta products as a key driver for civic engagement, inform partners of new processes and products and provides Meta best practices specific to G/P/N partners

  4. Navigate a complex ecosystem of partners, with new challenges and opportunities arising every day, and thoughtfully facilitate escalations internally

  5. Develop and implement creative solutions that align Meta's approach to G/P/N advertisers, with the partners’ needs ensuring best in class service and support to G/P/N partners in the market

  6. Manage sophisticated relationships with diverse group of internal cross-functional teams (social impact, policy, sales operations, creative, marketing science, policy teams) and ensures the group is delivering on expectations

  7. Project manages complex work streams

  8. Attend/present at events to represent META Advertising solutions

  9. Serves as external product consultant and leads agency/client/industry trainings to educate on paid and organic products

  10. Oversee internal account operations and partner with concierge service operations team to drive best in class solutions at scale for the GPN vertical, ensure service - excellence and QA ops requests

  11. Identify relevant industry trends and captures/identifies product and innovation needs based on client/industry feedback

  12. Synthesize data and insights for internal and external audiences

  13. Ability to travel as needed

  14. You have a deep understanding of the overall GPN vertical and geo-political climate

  15. You equip yourself to have in-depth knowledge about the GPN trends, partners, sensitivities, Facebook's unique relationship with each partner, and the associated risks

  16. You are able to manage ongoing partner priorities without guidance, using your judgement and problem-solving skills

  17. Serve as external product consultant to education partners and agencies

  18. You have productive and trusting relationships with partners and their stakeholders by demonstrating the value of META products as a key driver for civic engagement

  19. Oversee internal account operations and partner with Scaled Execution / Media Ops team to drive best in class service solutions for G/P/N vertical

  20. Travel on short notice

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. English and French languages (spoken and written) are required

  2. 5+ years experience partnering and managing marketing-focused relationships

  3. 3+ years experience working on digital media platforms, advertising metrics and industry trends

  4. Experience introducing new products, processes and systems to clients

  5. Experience working with Government/Policy organizations (understanding the Africa context)

  6. Experience partnering with compliance and legal functions

  7. Performance marketing experience and/or brand advertising experience
