Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical Technician to join Jazan Program team! The Mechanical Technician - Operation and Maintenance is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, managing maintenance personnel, and ensuring the efficient operation of refrigeration, air conditioning, and HVAC systems. This includes instructing, directing, and supervising maintenance tasks, developing maintenance policies and procedures, and providing technical support to resolve quality issues. The principal objective is to optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards within the operation and maintenance department.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Instruct, direct, and supervise maintenance activities within the operation and maintenance department.

  • Manage and oversee maintenance workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Supervise maintenance workers and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Set shift schedules and assignments for maintenance personnel to ensure proper coverage and workload distribution.

  • Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to optimize equipment performance and longevity.

  • Order tools, supplies, and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained.

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, prioritizing urgent issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the mechanical team in resolving quality issues and implementing corrective actions.

  • Monitor and track quality control metrics, such as inspection results and non-conformance reports, to identify trends and areas for improvement.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in maintenance, preferably in a facility management or industrial setting

  • Proven experience in measuring refrigeration or air conditioning components for installation.

  • Proficient in working with hand and power tools for installation of refrigeration or air conditioning components.

  • Familiarity with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and their maintenance procedures.
