Hercules Fence of Maryland, LLC Driver Shop Laborer in Jessup, Maryland

Hercules Fence is a premier fence and perimeter security company in the DC/VA/MD area. We excel in commercial and high security work at some of the most prestigious locations in the United States, and are seeking a full-time qualified Driver/Shop Helper at our Jessup, Maryland location.

Starting pay is between $16-$18 per hour, depending on experience.

Driver/Shop Helper Responsibilities Include:

  • Receiving and inspecting material, unloading trucks, and transporting to designated locations
  • Transporting material to designated locations
  • Preparing fence products for upcoming jobs including notching/cutting/bending pipe, using simple machinery and hand tools
  • Safely operating a forklift, certification a plus but not required
  • Rotating yard stock and moving materials as needed while maintaining yard inventory so stock is stored properly to eliminate damaged materials
  • Maintaining product stock in the warehouse and assisting in inventory counts
  • Performing routine yard and warehouse maintenance
  • Performing minor repair and maintenance on equipment/tools
  • Ensuring warehouse and yard are clean and organized at all times
  • Helping to load necessary equipment and materials on trucks and ensuring load is correctly secured to vehicle
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Prefer at least one year of experience in commercial or residential fence installation

High School Education or GED preferred

Welding experience desired but not necessary

Mechanical background helpful

Ability to take direction and follow directions

Good communication skills and problem-solving ability

Working knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
