Description If you're an experienced Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy, Robert Half currently has a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity for you to check out. Working as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities

  • Other projects as necessary

  • Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

  • Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Take part in various department-wide initiatives

  • Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics) Requirements - Solid understanding of month end closings

  • Command of bank reconciliations

  • Foundational knowledge in journal entries

  • Ad Hoc Reporting experience

  • Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • 3+ years of overall general accounting experience

  • Proficient in ERP systems

  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

  • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • This position is suitable for candidates that are proficient in financial reporting systems

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
