Citigroup Senior Vice President Java Architect in Jersey City, New Jersey
Seeking a senior technical architect to lead the design and development of Citi’s next generation financial forecasting platform. The platform is being built from the ground-up as a cloud ready offering, scaling horizontally to compute millions of positions in minutes. The platform serves key stakeholders across finance and risk globally, internal risk management across the entire Citi balance sheet as well as regulatory submissions.
Key skills - Strong systems design and architecture skills, experience working with large datasets, micro-services and distributed computing
Deliver high quality technical solutions to multiple global stakeholders in a fast paced environment
Ensure that the global teams follow best practices for system design, and conformance to high standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Ensure the system can scale to handle increasing business volumes, optimize performance and throughput.
Effectively partner with external teams to ensure we meet our goals for system integration, application deployment, feed management and reporting
Provide in-depth analysis of business problems, and innovative solutions
Work effectively as part of a large global team, mentor developers and analysts
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
15+ years of experience in software development
Min 5 years Java and database experience
5 + years of experience in similar roles such as Technical architect
5 + years of experience in micro-services and distributed computing
3 + years of experience with SQL / NOSQL databases
Advanced system design skills
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
- Bachelors Degree preferred
