JPMorgan Chase Certified Anaplan Solution Architect - Senior Associate in New York, New York

From managing the firm's capital and reporting quarterly earnings to responding to and complying with regulatory requirements, more than 15,000 colleagues around the world work together every day to manage the firm's Global Finance function. Our job is to ensure the company can navigate all types of market environments while maintaining a fortress balance sheet. The Finance function is a dynamic organization that plays a critical role, particularly as increasing regulatory and capital requirements change the way we do business. Planning & Analysis, in addition to Chief Financial Officer teams, Controllers, Business Managers, and Project Management Offices, make up the majority of the Global Finance team.

As a Certified Anaplan Solution Architect in Forecast Automation and Execution, you will play a key foundational role in the Anaplan Center of Excellence within the org, where your purpose will be to innovate, deliver, and/or apply solutions to problems, whilst also guiding sustainable change. We are looking to add a new team member that can bring a unique blend of business and technical knowledge & skills to turbo-charge our momentum. You will partner with all Consumer & Community Banking sub-lines of business stakeholders, Treasury, Product Owners, and Tech to shape and execute upon the transformation agenda. Typical initiatives include enhancement of forecasting models, automating reporting and analytics, and/or improving current processes for our key stakeholders. We take these initiatives and translate them into actionable steps to solve problems in order to increase the effectiveness of human capital and improve the daily work experiences of fellow colleagues. You will also develop and manage skills of the future development programs and actively engages colleagues across the organization to upskill in order to be positioned to evolve solutions over a long-term horizon.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead, influence, and advise sub-lines of business as they progress through initiatives to help build scalable, end-to-end solutions that optimize the use of financial data assets, guide improvement in human capital productivity, advance platform capabilities & efficiency, maximize self-service, and exhibit robust controls

  • Configure Anaplan modules, list, dashboards, and other model setting to meet business requirements

  • Design and implement solutions for critical business processes on the Anaplan platform

  • Monitor and maintain integrations to and from Anaplan and maintain data governance

  • Design Anaplan Data architecture and work with Finance Data Systems to streamline system and data integration

  • Participate in the definition of Anaplan Model and design and build standards for end-to-end solution architecture across the Anaplan platform

  • Leverage business process knowledge and expertise in Anaplan to guide business process transformation and provide technical direction and architectural guidance in the implementation of large-scale, Anaplan related projects, including cross-product

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and develop solutions, converting complex business problems into technical solutions at scale and partner with stakeholders to develop and track progress of the project to meet metrics, typically in close partnership with other Solution Architects, Model Builders, and planning & analysis leadership.

  • Drive adoption of Transformation initiatives, practices, and timelines and execute the above processes with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness of meeting deliverables on prescribed timetables / calendars

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 3+ years of relevant hands-on Anaplan experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of Business Intelligence experience

  • Certified in Anaplan Solution Architect

  • Experience with Financial Planning and Modeling

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle

  • Previous experience in a finance / planning role in banking or financial services

  • Experience in the consolidation, review, analysis and presentation of Financials

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)

  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables

  • An excellent understanding of Financial Planning & Budgeting processes is essential to guide business process transformation

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Master Anaplanner is preferred

  • Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI and other BI tools is preferred

  • Experience with internal financial systems such as Essbase and Hyperion preferred

  • Excellent multi-tasking, prioritization, presentation, oral & written communication, and relationship management skills

  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities and to meet deadlines under pressure

  • Self-starter who is driven to excel in all aspects of their role and seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements where necessary

  • Ability to collaborate with global teams and work in a fast paced, results driven environment tackling complex problems
