Universal Health Services TEMP - Registered Nurse (RN) in JEFFERSONVILLE, Indiana

Responsibilities

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana (and part of the UHS Healthcare System) and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, Adults, and the CD population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone is currently looking for Temporary Registered Nurses to work assignments lasting 3-4 months on our in-patient units.

The Temporary Registered Nurse is a registered professional nurse who delivers, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. The Staff Nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served. Non-exempt temporary hourly position, not benefit eligible.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred but NOT required.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Indiana State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification, CPI & appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam.

Hours of Work: 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.; Also looking for night shift weekends; other times as indicated by immediate supervisor.

(Candidates employed by any UHS facility within the last 6 months are NOT elgible.)

    Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:

    Current license to practice nursing in State of Facility/Hospital (or eligible to receive or renew). Current CPR or BLS certification. Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+ (but NOT required.)
