Universal Health Services School-Based Clinician in JEFFERSONVILLE, Indiana

Responsibilities

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, Adults, and the CD population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well.

Wellstone is currently looking for a professional Hospital School-Based Clinician will function as a triage assessor housed within a local school system. The Clinician will be responsible for building strong relationships with school officials and will provide support/education to faculty and staff within the school system regarding issues surrounding mental health needs and concerns. Primary duties are to provide triage assessments to students as referred by school systems, provide referrals for various social service-related needs and act as an advocate for the student in regards to these referrals. This position will follow the traditional school year calendar and take vacations and time off following the school calendar as able. The position will be a direct report to the Director of Outpatient Services and an employee of the facility with benefits provided. This position requires short travel to other schools within a catchment area and mileage is reimbursed for this travel.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Licensure: Graduate Degree in Social Work, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field, licensure preferred. If candidate is not independently licensed they must be actively pursuing licensure. Supervision is provided at no cost within the hospital for candidate seeking LMHC or LCSW.

Experience: Minimum of two years experience in direct clinical experience in a psychiatric/mental health/chemical dependency setting.

Additional Requirements: Experience in patient assessment, referral, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities. Completion of CPR course and completion of CPI.
