Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Sustainability to join our team to provide technical expertise for our client for the detailed master planning of a large-scale mixed-use development project. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sustainable design principles, urban planning, and environmental regulations, along with a proven track record of successfully implementing sustainability initiatives in complex development projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the integration of sustainable design principles into the master planning process, ensuring that environmental, social, and economic considerations are carefully balanced.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, urban planners, and landscape architects to develop comprehensive master plans that prioritize sustainability.

  • Conduct research and analysis on best practices, emerging trends, and innovative technologies in sustainable development to inform decision-making.

  • Evaluate the environmental impact of proposed development projects and recommend strategies to minimize carbon footprint, energy consumption, and waste generation.

  • Develop sustainability metrics and performance indicators to track progress and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Provide guidance and training to project teams on sustainable design principles and practices.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, urban planning, architecture, engineering, or related field

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in sustainability management, urban planning, or related field, with a focus on large-scale mixed-use development projects and minimum 8 years' experience in GCC(KSA ideally)

  • Strong understanding of sustainable design principles, green building standards (LEED, BREEAM, etc.), and environmental regulations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience working with sustainability assessment tools and software

  • Professional certifications such as LEED AP, WELL AP, or similar credentials are required
