Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Executive Director - Development to join our team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, construction, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the successful delivery of the project within scope, budget, and timeline.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the overall project planning, execution, and delivery of the development project from inception to completion, including site selection, design development, permitting, and construction phases.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.

  • Coordinate and manage the efforts of internal project teams, external consultants, contractors, and vendors to achieve project milestones and deliverables.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards throughout the construction process.

  • Proactively identify and address project risks, issues, and challenges, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies as needed.

  • Facilitate regular project meetings, workshops, and reviews with key stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and make informed decisions.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and strategic goals.

  • Prepare and present project status reports, executive summaries, and presentations to client management teams as required.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and knowledge sharing among project team members and stakeholders.

  • Monitor project performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial indicators, analyzing trends and variances to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

  • Conduct post-project evaluations and lessons learned sessions to capture best practices, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous process improvement.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or subtask.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 25 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles overseeing large-scale development construction projects

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
